This diary is not about Hillary, but us. There is tension going around DKOS but it is misplaced. I am not criticizing anyone's diary because I believe in the right to voice one's opinion. But, with that said, I see so many diaries that place blame on everyone else. Some place blame on our candidate, others our surrogates and others the entire Democratic party. Let me say, there are more supporters in the Democratic party than surrogates and party officials. So what does that suggest to you. Now why did I mention Hillary. No, it was not just to get you to look at my diary. Follow me over the jump.
I am sorry to bring back bad memories but there is a point to be made here.
Everyone remembers this.
The media went viral until everyone in the world watched or heard about the Bosnia story. Now some people laughed, others got angry but how many fought back.
Yesterday, Anderson Cooper had this to say in response to a comment by Halperin regarding the bridge to nowhere lie.
HALPERIN: But if a core part of their message is something that every journalist -- journalism organization in the country has looked at and says it's demonstrably false, again, we're not doing our jobs if we just treat this as one of many things that's happening.
COOPER: And yet, we're getting a ton of e-mails from people saying that we're attacking Palin by looking at her record. It's fascinating to see how polarized people are.

Let me repeat, a ton of e-mails to push back against Sarah Palin receiving media scruitny. Yes, all together now scream where were our e-mails?
All of us can agree that Hillary's story was untrue. But, unlike the story Hillary told, John McCain is fabricating a lie about taxpayer appropriations. Is the media willing to make a mockery of Sarah Palin as they did Hillary Clinton, and as they did Barack Obama? How many times have you even seen this video on your local tv channel which completely debunks the notion that Sarah Palin was against the bridge?
We have entered a period of sheer madness. If Hillary or Barack went around saying the things that the Republicans get away with the media would go bonanza. So the reason I had to bring back the Bosnia story is to make a point, power.
We are fighting against a powerful regime. Due to deregulation of the telecommunications industry, our newspapers, local television stations and cable networks are dominated by corporate interests owned by a few. This power structure is not going to give up Republican control without a fierce fight. And today the media went viral again about a manufactured story.
Remember this from Al Gore's convention speech:
This administration and the special interests who control it lock, stock and barrel after barrel, have performed this same sleight-of-hand on issue after issue. Some of the best marketers have the worst products; and this is certainly true of today’s Republican Party. The party itself has on its rolls men and women of great quality. But the last eight years demonstrate that the special interests who have come to control the Republican Party are so powerful that serving them and serving the national well-being are now irreconcilable choices.

This is a fight for power. It is not a fight against Barack Obama, it is not a fight against John McCain, it is a fight for power.
The Republicans get it and will do anything to win. But, sometimes I think we do not get it. We continue to complain about Barack Obama or his surrogates and tear ourselves down until our backs are broken. It is time we take our country back by organizing and phone banking and getting our message out without media help. We can't rely on the media or believe media polls.
I am over the top with anger, but not because of today's current events. I am angry because of that mother who must send her child to a school that has lost its accreditation. I am angry because of the elderly wife who has a husband with Alzheimer's and limited money to live on. This diary was written for Hillary supporters and the rest of us. I hope we march forward and take back our country.
There are simple and easy ways that we can spread Barack Obama's message without even leaving the house. Obama also has a community program if you are willing to walk a few blocks from your house and knock on doors. You don't even have to be close to a campaign office. For the next 55 days, we have to spread Barack Obama's message ourselves. This is a fight against power.
